A family in Kuala Lumpur recently met with a tragic accident when their car crashed into a divider on the road
According to Berita Harian, the accident took place around 10pm on Thursday, 1 April.
It is believed that a man who was driving a Proton Saga lost control of the vehicle before crashing into a divider and entering the lane on the opposite side of the road.
Two people were killed in the crash — the driver's wife and their newborn baby
Ampang Jaya district police chief ACP Mohamad Farouk Eshak said told Sinar Harian, "The passengers were the driver's wife and their two children. The wife was stuck in the front seat and was pronounced dead at the scene."
Meanwhile, the couple's 14-day-old daughter sustained severe injuries after being thrown out of the vehicle and was pronounced dead while receiving treatment at the Ampang Hospital emergency unit.
The driver and his four-year-old son are also receiving treatment at the same hospital.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for dangerous driving
