3 Machete-Wielding Men Attacked An Uber Driver And Stole His Kia Forte Cab In Besut
The incident happened when the driver was on his way from KL to his hometown.
In a terrible incident on early Friday morning, an Uber driver was attacked by three men and stole his cab, a Kia Forte
According to reports, the driver, Ahmad Taufik Che Daud, was attacked by a machete.
The incident took place around 3.15am, 23 June, when the 29-year-old Uber driver was resting at a petrol station in Seberang Jerteh, Besut.
Besut police chief Supt Mohd Zamri Mohd Rowi said the driver was on his way from KL to his home in Bachok
"He was resting alone at the petrol station when three men on a yellow Perodua Myvi approached him. One of the suspects had come straight to the victim and slashed his hand using the machete.
"The suspects then fled the scene and drove away with the victim's car. The victim was left alone there before members of the public assisted and took him to the Besut Hospital for treatment," Bernama quoted the police chief as saying.
The 29-year-old Uber driver sustained injuries on his forehead, at the back of his head, right thumb and right arm
He has lodged a police report at the Jerteh police station after receiving treatment.
While the police are looking for the suspects, the case is being investigated under Section 394 of the Penal Code, Besut district police chief Supt Mohd Zamri said.
