Last night, 22 April, three teenagers were killed while they were racing on their motorcycles at Jalan Delima, Taman Kota Masai, Pasir Gudang

According to Seri Alam police chief Supt Mohd Sohaimi Ishak, the accident happened at about 10.30pm during which the victims, including pillion riders, were competing among themselves.

"It is believed that the victims were racing each other when their motorcycles grazed each other. The accident caused three of the victims to be thrown to the left side of the road while the other was thrown to the right side of the road," New Straits Times quoted Mohd Sohaimi as saying earlier today, 23 April.

Those who died were 15 and 16 years old

A 17-year-old was injured in the same accident.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

"Further investigation is still ongoing," Mohd Sohaimi said.

"We would like to remind the public, especially parents, to monitor their underage children's movement and not allow them to ride motorcycles and take part in illegal racing activities," he added.

The tragic accident occurred at a time as a 27-year-old woman has been convicted in the 'basikal lajak' case that happened five years ago

Earlier this month, the Johor Bahru High Court found the female driver guilty under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 (Act 333) for causing death by reckless driving when she rammed into a group of teens riding modified bicycles on Jalan Lingkaran Dalam, Johor Bahru at 3.30am, 18 February 2017.
