A 30-year-old Malaysian man has been reported missing after allegedly travelling to Bangkok, Thailand, with a friend
The family of Andy Jee Ying Kit, who is from Kuching, Sarawak, is now searching for him.
According to a post on Xiaohongshu, Jee flew to Bangkok on 8 January and was supposed to return to work in Singapore last Wednesday, 15 January.
However, concerns arose when his colleagues informed Jee's family that he had not shown up to work for two days after his holiday.
"It wasn't until his colleagues told us he hadn't returned to work after his trip that we realised he had been missing for a few days. His phone is disconnected," Jee's cousin shared on the platform.
Jee had told both his family and colleagues that he was travelling to Thailand with a friend, but no one knows the identity of this friend
The family is now seeking help from the Malaysian embassy in Singapore to confirm whether Jee had left or entered the country.
Jee is described as being 170cm tall, dark-skinned, and large-built.
