A 22-second closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage has gone viral, showing a 4WD vehicle turning a corner before running over the child

The footage reveals that the child was no taller than the height of the vehicle's hood. The child is seen standing at the junction, but the vehicle does not come to a halt.

After the collision, a person can be heard screaming in distress as they run over to check on the boy.

Netizens extended their condolences to the boy's parents in the comments section of the video. Several commenters said the vehicle was moving too fast in a residential area.
