If you're employed by a private company in these five states, it's a good idea to confirm with your employer whether your company will observe a day off on New Year's Day

On the other hand, the rest of the states will enjoy a three-day break starting from Saturday, 30 December 2023, to Monday, 1 January 2024.

For those employed in the Klang Valley and looking to head back to their hometowns for the long break, make sure to plan your journey wisely!
