A Baskin-Robbins Staff At 1 Utama Has Now Tested Positive For COVID-19
He was last at work on 22 October.
A team member from Baskin-Robbins at 1 Utama Shopping Centre in Bandar Utama, Selangor has tested positive for COVID-19
The infected staff is currently under the care of a government hospital.
In a statement today, 25 October, the ice cream chain said that the staff was last at work on 22 October, adding that he was "immediately discharged from work" once he became symptomatic.
Baskin-Robbins said that the Ministry of Health (MOH) may get in touch with those who have visited the outlet from 18 to 22 October
The ice cream chain said that they have taken the following measures so far:
- Its outlet at 1 Utama was immediately closed down for disinfection.
- All exposed food and packaging were discarded.
- All colleagues who were in close contact with the affected team member are in self-quarantine and currently being tested.
- A separate new team will be deployed to the store only after testing negative (PCR)
However, Baskin-Robbins did not provide any additional details with regards to the infected staff's travel history, if any.
