A GrabFood Guy Was Caught On Camera Stealing Shoes After Delivering Food
Grab said that the company is aware of the video and are investigating the matter.
In a video posted on a Facebook group called Singapore Share-Share on 27 June, a GrabFood deliveryman was caught in closed-circuit television (CCTV) stealing a pair of shoes moments after he delivered a customer's food. The incident happened on 20 June.
The man can be seen eyeing a pair of shoes after he hands the customer's order.
After the customer goes back in the house and closes their door, the GrabFood deliveryman is seen picking up the shoes and putting them into his food delivery bag.
Footage of the incident has since gone viral, with over 3.1k shares
In the comment section of the video post, some of the members of the group were disgusted by the man in a GrabFood uniform placing the shoes in his food bag.
"The next food he delivers will stink like salted fish n soaked socks," member Shirin Nisza commented, who used a vomit emoji to express her disgust.
While another user, Marc Tan, tagged GrabFood to remind the company that the "bags are meant for food, not shoes".
Grab has since responded on Thursday, 27 June, to say that the company is aware of the video and are investigating the matter
"We are aware of this and are investigating the matter.
"Grab does not condone such behaviour and will terminate delivery-partners who are found guilty," Grab said, according to Channel NewsAsia (CNA).
