Dimitrina Dimitrova, a 29-year-old Bulgarian woman, fell off an Ibiza cliff, Spain, and died as she jumped up and down with excitement seconds after a marriage proposal by her boyfriend
The Daily Mail reports that 29-year-old Dimitrina Dimitrova fell off an Ibiza cliff seconds after accepting her boyfriend’s marriage proposal.
According to police, Dimitrina lost her balance while jumping up and down to celebrate the good news. Her boyfriend popped the question around lunchtime on Tuesday.

She fell 65ft from the cliff in the Cala Tarida resort. Inquisitr reported that her boyfriend had chosen that particular spot to propose since it was an area known for its captivating sunset views.
It is believed the dead woman's devastated waiter boyfriend had singled out the beauty spot to make his marriage proposal. The incident happened around lunchtime on Tuesday. A local Civil Guard spokesman said: 'Everything is pointing towards the death being the result of a tragic freak accident.'

A source told the website that Dimitrova’s boyfriend is a waiter working on the island, and she had joined him two days before she died to look for work. 'She fell seconds after her partner surprised her by proposing to her as she jumped up and down with emotion.'

This, however, is not the first tragic death or freak accident involving a couple standing near the edge of a cliff

According to investigators, the couple fell from the cliff shortly after taking photos of themselves and landed in the Atlantic Ocean. The couple fell to their death while their young children (ages 5 and 6) watched the entire incident.

There is also the case of Briton Gareth Jones. According to the Independent, the 25-year-old man fell from a cliff in Sydney and died shortly after enjoying the view of the sunrise.
In the case of Dimitrina Dimitrova, she was the only person who fell from the cliff. Her newly engaged fiance was not physically injured.
