A group of firefighters has won praise online for helping a motorcyclist get back on his feet after spending a night alone by the side of a highway

According to Harian Metro, senior fire and rescue officer Nor Azam Abd Rahman from the Meru Raya station in Ipoh, Perak said the incident occurred at 9am on Wednesday, 17 June.

The team was informed about a man who had been sitting by the highway overnight while they were returning from another operation.

Upon arriving at the scene, the firefighters found the man sitting beside his Yamaha RXZ motorcycle, drenched by the rain.

"I was made to understand that he had been there since 1am, and we tried to ask him what had happened.

"At first, the man just remained silent and was shivering from the cold due to the rain.

"We suspected he was dealing with personal issues," Nor Azam told Harian Metro.
