#Bajet2022: PDRM To Get RM13 Million To Fight Sexual Crimes Against Women & Children
The government proposes strengthening Bukit Aman's Sexual, Women, and Children's Investigations Division (D11) to better protect Malaysian women.
Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul proposed to allocate RM13 million to a department in the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to fight sexual crimes against women and children
During the tabling of Bajet 2022 — the Supply Bill 2022 — Zafrul said the allocation is important because there are times where heinous crimes are committed against women, mothers, and wives.
Therefore, in the fight to better protect women, the Finance Minister said the government will allocate RM13 million specifically to empower Bukit Aman's Sexual, Women, and Children's Investigations Division (D11).
This will help the department to create 100 new posts in the division, said Zafrul
"In addition, community awareness programs on violence against women nationwide through the WAJA Squad will be implemented," he added.
