Balik Pulau Man Arrested After A Girl He Raped 3 Years Ago Lodged A Report This Week
The girl was 11 years old at the time of the alleged rape.

Earlier on Tuesday, Balik Pulau police arrested a 49-year-old man from Relau a day after a 14-year-old lodged a police report alleging that the man had raped her on multiple occasions three years ago
The girl, who at the time of the alleged rape was 11-year-old, claimed that the man raped a few times at two locations in both Balik Pulau and George Town districts.
According to a report in The Star Online, the incident came to light after the girl "accidentally" told her aunt about it a few days ago
The girl's family then confronted the man, reprimanding him for the alleged rape.
The Star Online, in its report on Wednesday, said that the victim's family was seen in a video circulating online, scolding the man for what he did to the girl.
"How could you do that to an 11-year-old girl? Do you have kids at home? Would you do that to them?" the English daily reported one of the family members as saying.
The man has been remanded for five days since 30 October
"We are investigating the case under Section 376 of the Penal Code for rape," Balik Pulau OCPD Superintendent A.A. Anbalagan was quoted as saying by The Star Online.
