METMalaysia Issues Hot Weather Warning As Temperatures Soar To 37°C

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia) has issued a level one hot weather alert for several areas in Malaysia

According to a notification on the department's Facebook page yesterday, 11 May, there are twelve areas in Peninsula Malaysia and three areas in Sabah and Sarawak that have received the level one alert.

The alert is issued when the department records a daily maximum temperature of between 35°C and 37°C for at least three consecutive days

The areas in Peninsular Malaysia experiencing hot weather include Pasir Mas, Padang Terap, Kuala Muda, Baling, Bandar Baru, Hulu Perak, Selama, Matang dan Larut, Kinta, Manjung, Batang Padang, Kuala Selangor, and Jempol.

Meanwhile in Sabah and Sarawak, Beaufort, Kinabatangan, and Mukah have been given the level one alert.
