Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced a RM1 billion allocation to further strengthen the Ikhtiar MADANI Untuk Rakyat initiative

Here are the four initiatives:
1. The Sejati MADANI program will be expanded to include young people
According to Anwar, this initiative aims to help participants generate income through community-based programmes like vending machine projects or agricultural ventures using fertigation systems
2. National leaders and senior officials have been overseeing the Kampung Angkat MADANI and Sekolah Angkat MADANI programmes
He said national leaders and senior officials, including himself, have personally visited and managed issues in the villages and schools they have adopted under the programme.
Next year, the target will be raised to 500 adopted villages and 1,500 adopted schools, with greater involvement from the private sector.
3. The Solar MADANI initiative successfully completed the installation of 4,000 solar lights in Sabah
This initiative will now be expanded to include villages nationwide, he said in the Belanjawan announcement.
4. The government is also aiming to eradicate extreme poverty
The Sejahtera MADANI programme, a private sector contribution aimed at eradicating extreme poverty, has successfully collected RM120 million in funds to date.
To encourage more support, Anwar said that companies and individuals with business income who contribute to the Kampung Angkat, Sekolah Angkat MADANI, and Sejahtera MADANI programs are now eligible for income tax deductions.
