Child Actress Officially Lodges Police Report Against Father Over Sexual Abuse Allegations
After receiving criticism for publicly sharing her story, the child actress decided to lodge her own police report.

SAYS covered the story of the award-winning child actress, who had gone on a podcast show to share her experience about her father's sexual assault on her.
After her story went viral, her father filed a police report against her at Bandar Baharu Police Station in Kedah on Sunday, September 4, denying the child star's allegations.
The child actress did not back down and filed her own police report on Monday, 5 September, reported New Straits Times.
According to the report, she claimed that she has been sexually abused and neglected by her father since 2013
"The victim claimed that her father even made her watch pornography on his mobile phone when she was a child until just five years ago," said Subang Jaya district police chief ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat.
"Police initiated an investigation under Section 354 of the Penal Code for outraging the modesty of an individual, under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001 for neglect, and under Section 292 of the Penal Code for possession of pornographic material," he added.
Meanwhile, multiple ministers have since come out with their statements regarding the child actress' claims
Women, Family, and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rina Harun said on Sunday, 4 September that her department will summon the actress as well as her father for an investigation and will not hesitate to take strict action in accordance with the Child Act 2001, reported Harian Metro.
On the other hand, Datuk Idris Ahmad, who is the Religious Affairs Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, criticised the child actress for sharing her story publicly and suggested that she should have instead filed a police report to protect herself in the future.
"As a Muslim, we should prioritise covering up aib (shame). A sexual assault story shouldn't have been exposed to the public," said Idris yesterday, 6 September.
