Man Abducted From Ampang Workshop, Body Later Found Buried In Semenyih

A man in his 30s is suspected to have been murdered after he was abducted by a group of individuals outside an auto repair shop in Ampang Waterfront, Ampang Jaya

According to Harian Metro, the victim, known as Mulia, had brought his vehicle to the workshop for repairs before he was taken away in a Honda vehicle around 4am on 24 September.

The workshop owner, who asked not to be identified, said he had met Mulia about an hour before the alleged abduction. Later that day, the victim's wife and younger sibling contacted him to say that Mulia had not returned home.

The workshop owner then returned to the premises and reviewed the CCTV footage.

"I met the victim an hour before he was abducted. At the time, he brought his vehicle to my shop for repairs early Thursday morning before I went home," he told Harian Metro.

He said the footage showed Mulia being taken away in a car. He then advised the victim's wife and sibling to lodge a police report.

His family later learned that he had died

The workshop owner said Mulia's wife contacted him again early Monday morning, 28 September, to inform him that the man had died and was suspected to have been murdered.

He later met the victim's wife and sibling at Serdang Hospital.

The CCTV footage from the workshop has since been handed over to police as part of the investigation.

Meanwhile, the body of a man was found buried in an area in Semenyih, Kajang, on Sunday, 27 September.

The body is believed to be that of Mulia, although police have yet to publicly confirm the identity. Efforts to obtain confirmation from the Kajang and Ampang district police have so far not yielded an official response, according to Harian Metro.

Several people have reportedly been detained

Based on information received by the newspaper, police have detained several individuals believed to be involved in the case to assist with investigations.

Police are also reportedly tracking down other key suspects.

The circumstances surrounding the alleged abduction, the discovery of the buried body, and the victim's death remain under investigation.
