Police have launched a manhunt for two suspects caught on CCTV violently kicking an 81-year-old woman before robbing her home in Lenggong, Perak
According the New Straits Times, Gerik district police chief Supt Abdul Samad Othman said the incident occurred in Kampung Selat Pagar at about 5.10am on Tuesday, 21 July.
The suspects allegedly forced their way into the house by prying open the front door before one of them kicked the victim to the ground and threatened her with an iron rod.
"The suspects fled with several of the victim's belongings after the robbery.
"Preliminary investigations found that they escaped in a dark-coloured car bearing the registration number VMG 8433, which is believed to be using a fake registration plate," said Abdul Samad.

CCTV footage of the robbery later went viral after the victim's family shared it online, urging anyone with information to come forward and help bring the suspects to justice
The 23-second CCTV clip shows one of the suspects kicking the octogenarian, causing her to fall to the ground before hitting her head against a nearby TV cabinet.
China Press reported that the victim suffered a back injury and bruises on her hands.
The victim said her mobile phone, wet wipes, and toilet paper were stolen. It is understood that the suspects were unable to steal more belongings after the commotion alerted her neighbours.
During the incident, the victim's dog, Kopi, barked to attract attention and was allegedly nearly killed when one of the suspects threw a kitchen knife at it. Fortunately, the knife missed.
One of the neighbours who heard the commotion rushed over with a rattan cane.
"I swung my rattan stick at the robber, but he dodged it. At that moment, another robber escaped from the house and got into the car. My brother, who had just woken up, arrived just in time. He took the other rattan stick I threw to him, and we fought the robbers together," he said.
The suspects later fled the scene in a black SUV.
The case is currently being investigated under Sections 395 and 397 of the Penal Code for gang robbery and armed robbery with an attempt to cause grievous hurt.
Police have also seized the kitchen knife allegedly thrown at the dog as evidence.
