Residents of Limbang, Sarawak, are set to benefit from improved community facilities following the Digital Ministry's latest efforts under the Kampung Angkat MADANI (KAM) and Sekolah Angkat MADANI (SAM) programmes

Held at Sekolah Kebangsaan St. Edmund on 24 October, the programmes were launched alongside the Ministry's Digital Outreach Programme, which featured activities to promote digital literacy and safer technology use among schoolchildren and the local community.
The handover ceremony was officiated by Digital Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Fabian Bigar and witnessed by Limbang member of Parliament and Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Haji Hasbi bin Haji Habibollah.
With a total allocation of RM700,000, the initiatives focus on providing essential facilities, improving learning environments, and expanding access to digital technology

Under KAM, Kampung Belimbing Melugus will receive solar LED lights, community support equipment, and information and communications technology (ICT) equipment, benefiting 29 households.
The ICT equipment initiative will also benefit pupils at SK Ukong, extending the programme's reach beyond the village.

Meanwhile, local technical and vocational education and training institutions will receive support to carry out electrical equipment installation work in Kampung Belimbing Melugus.
At SK St. Edmund, the SAM programme, implemented under the Personal Data Protection Department of the Digital Ministry, will introduce several improvements to the school's learning facilities.
These include an LED screen in the school hall, smartboards, and wireless access points to provide a better learning environment.
The handover ceremony also coincided with SK St. Edmund's School Open Day, which featured various technology-focused programmes and activities for pupils and the local community

Among the highlights were introductions to artificial intelligence (AI), digital literacy sessions, cybersecurity awareness activities, and efforts to educate participants about online scams.
The activities also involved members of local village development and security committees, helping to raise awareness of responsible technology use among the wider community.
A Jualan RAHMAH MADANI programme was also held during the event, offering everyday essentials at affordable prices to help ease the cost of living for Limbang residents.
Through the KAM and SAM programmes, the Digital Ministry aims to ensure that the benefits of national development reach communities at the grassroots level.
