An 8-Year-Old Malaysian Kid Used WeChat For Porn. Now She's Creating Sex Groups Herself

In a shocking turn of events, it was revealed that another Malaysian kid has become a victim to sexual predators. She is only eight.

Social activist Syed Azmi Al Habsh shared in a Facebook post yesterday, 21 December, about how the child's mother has reached out to him after she was devastated by the discovery that her daughter has been sending and receiving pornographic material.

According to Syed Azmi, the mother had bought a tablet for her daughter to use earlier this month. The eight-year-old downloaded the popular messaging and calling application WeChat.

The mother was taken aback when she realised that her daughter has been involved in online sex chats

A check by the mother revealed that her daughter was conversing with unknown men on WeChat, and the conversations are filled with inappropriate and sexual contents.

"The mum saw this last Monday. This is not just a screenshot page. There are many pages and (sic) about the same and pictures which (are) mostly porn from the adult stranger," Syed Azmi said, adding that the child sent a photograph of adults sexual acts to the stranger.

However, what's worse is the fact that things escalated to another level, where the child and the stranger had actually proceeded to go on a voice call.

Yet, what's even more disturbing is what the mother told Syed Azmi afterwards.

"Her profile picture (on WeChat) is pornographic. She started to forward those (pornographic) photos to initiate chats. My body trembles at the thought of the disaster that is about to happen. Now she's creating sex groups herself."

"When I look at my child's behaviour, I feel like hitting her. Angry. But I know that's not the best way to solve things. I did not do anything. I only teased her and asked if she wanted to get married and that I could get her to get married quickly," she told Syed Azmi.

Noting the severity of the issue, Syed Azmi has urged the mother to lodge a police report, to which she did.

"Do understand that you can't trace the (user's) number on WeChat. But if the GPS location is on, there is a 'friend finder' option for people to find you. Basically, most would look at the (profile) photo," he said.

Even with many other parents reaching out to him with their own stories, Syed Azmi still could not contain his own surprise and shock at this new revelation

"The girl must have picked it up from somewhere. She needs help. Who taught her all this? What is going on with her life? Why did the mum joke about marrying her?"

"The girl does need therapy. But their socioeconomic background needs to be checked as well. Location, distance, transport, affordability and charges. Easy to ask. Not easy to apply," he said.

"This case is not over. She is an excellent student and this is worrying. Once the mother is ok, have to guide her to help her daughter," he added.

Netizens, particularly parents, are on high alert now with many suggesting stricter parenting control over children. Some are also advocating the ban of WeChat.
