Empire Sushi has recently issued an apology after a viral video showed a cockroach crawling around food at their Sunway Pyramid outlet

The incident, captured by a customer and shared widely on social media, sparked public concern.

In response, Empire Sushi highlighted their commitment to food safety and announced immediate measures to address the issue. These steps included deep cleaning the premises and reviewing hygiene protocols to prevent future occurrences.

The company posted an apology video on TikTok, showing staff disposing of all the sushi and thoroughly sanitising the area. A pest control inspection and treatment were also conducted after the incident.
