[VIDEO] Fight Breaks Out Between 20 Men Over Who Gets To Tow A Car On Penang Highway
Fighting broke out between a group of men who were arguing over who gets to tow a vehicle that was involved in an accident on the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway in Penang
About 20 car towing workers were involved in the incident after a lorry laden with mosaic tiles crashed and spilled its contents on to the road yesterday, 26 January, reported New Straits Times.
Footage shows several men shouting and throwing helmets at each other while others try to stop the fight.
Several videos of the brawl have since gone viral on social media.
Five men have been arrested, while weapons used in the fight — helmets and motorcycle fork locks — were also seized to assist in the probe
"Policemen from the Northeast district police headquarters who were at the scene tried to break off the fight, but to no avail. They then sought help from the motorcycle patrol unit (URB) and police mobile patrol vehicles (MPV)," said Northeast district police chief ACP Soffian Santong.
"When MPV and URB members arrived at the scene, all the individuals had fled," he added.
Further investigations are underway to track the remaining suspects. The case is being investigated under Section 148 of the Penal Code.
