Heavy Rains Cause Floods, Falling Trees, And Flying Roofs In Subang And Klang

The basement parking of Sunway Pyramid was flooded and roofs were flying off the shops in Klang.

Parts of Subang and Klang, Selangor were hit by heavy rains and strong winds yesterday, 1 October, around 2.15pm

It caused a few flash floods, dangerous driving conditions, and massive traffic congestions. According to The Star, over 20 places in the Klang Valley experienced falling trees and branches.

Netizens posted up photos of Sunway Pyramid's flooded basement parking

Inferring from the photos and videos, the water went up to above the ankles.

According to Astro Radio Traffic, a tree fell near Sunway City and caused a 1km crawl from the Sunway toll.

Meanwhile in Klang, roofs were filmed flying off the shops near Centro and Taman Berkeley

Photos also show that trees and even signboards had fallen on cars. Thankfully, no casualties have been reported at the time of writing.

The rain even affected several highways, causing flash floods and a massive traffic congestion

The flash flood on Jalan Lapangan Terbang Subang caused a 5km jam from Citta Mall, as reported by Astro Radio Traffic yesterday.
