GE14: 2 People Died While Standing In Line To Vote
Both the incidents happened at different polling stations.
A man and a woman died while they were waiting in line to cast their ballots at different polling stations
According to NST Online, the man who died was waiting in line to cast his vote at Sekolah Menengah (P) Taman Petaling, Petaling Jaya.
The incident happened at 9.30am.
The woman was standing in line to vote at SMK Pulau Serai
According to Dungun Police Chief, the woman fell and died while standing in line.
The woman was identified as Rokiah Sulong, aged 54.
Rokiah, who had a history of high blood pressure, had come to cast her vote with her daughter, who is 36-year-old, reported The Star Online.
According to The Star Online, the man was a senior citizen
The 78-year-old who was at Sekolah Menengah (P) Taman Petaling is said to have fainted.
He was using a walking stick and was accompanied by his wife and son to the polling station, reported The Star Online while identifying the man as Lor Voon Chor.
"The deceased's wife and children said he suffered from heart and lung issues, as well as diabetes," PJ OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zani Che Din told The Star Online.
