Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced an increase in pension to support retired public servants
Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, announced the measure during the tabling of Belanjawan 2027 today, 9 October.
Under Budget 2027, the minimum pension rate has been increased from RM1,000 to RM1,350 per month.
The monthly rate adjustment directly will impact close to 59,000 individuals nationwide
This group includes civil service retirees, Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) veterans, and derivative pension recipients.
The revision aims to ease financial pressure on former public servants facing rising living expenses.
