A couple in Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan, has been happily married for the past six years despite a 37-year age gap between them
According to the New Straits Times, Muhd Sabri Razaman, 27, had never been in love before meeting Norlida Muhammed Salleh, 64, when he was around 19 years old.
Sabri, who works as a security guard at a school, recalled first meeting Norlida at a mini market where she was working.
The pair became friends after Sabri regularly visited the shop for about two years. Over time, he developed feelings for her and eventually expressed his intention to marry her.
"She agreed, but after we informed the family, some could not accept it.
"But I stood by my decision because I believed it was fate. I was ready to become a husband, even though I was only 21 at the time," Sabri said.

Today, Norlida is a mother of six and grandmother to eight grandchildren
The couple tied the knot in 2020.
Sabri said Norlida's family accepted him from the beginning, including his stepchildren, some of whom are older than him.
He added that he shares a close bond with Norlida's grandchildren and is happy to have become a grandfather at a young age.
"So far, our relationship with everyone has been good and there is no reason for any resentment. Even with my wife, we have never argued.
"Although I am much younger, I have never taken advantage of my wife's money. I work day and night because I am aware that it is a husband's responsibility to earn a living and provide for his wife.
"I promise to take care of my wife until the end of her life and I will never leave her," said Sabri.

Meanwhile, Norlida said she never expected to find love again after separating from her ex-husband in 2016
She said she could not reject what she believed was Allah's plan for her life, which ultimately led her to marry a man 37 years her junior, reported Harian Metro.
"I only cared for him, and I treated him like my son at first, but eventually we became partners," she said.
Norlida said Sabri handled all the wedding preparations himself, which convinced her of his sincerity.
The sexagenarian also said she trusts Sabri completely and has never felt the need to check his phone.
"I once suggested that he marry again, but my husband refused.
"We did talk about having children, but my husband said that if we are blessed with children, it will be in heaven.
"My husband promised he would never leave me, but I will accept it if he has a change of heart one day.
"He still has a long journey ahead of him and before I close my eyes, I want to make him happy. I always pray that Allah gives my husband strength," she said.
