Starting at midnight, 13 August, police will implement roadblocks strategically across the nation as a proactive measure to enhance public safety

The announcement comes as results of the six state elections are trickling in.

However, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Razarudin Husain emphasised that this operation is part of their regular monthly routine to deter criminal activities and is unrelated to the ongoing state elections.

"Our men will be stationed at various locations to ensure there are no untoward incidents," Razarudin said at a press conference

He also urged political party supporters not to organise victory marches using their vehicles.

Furthermore, he shared that the police will bolster their presence around state palaces and the residences of Yang di-Pertuan to ensure that these locations remain free from disruptions.
