Investigation Reveals Disturbing Details In The Sodomy & Murder Of 9-Month-Old Baby In PJ
The toddler was sodomised by his nanny's husband, who forced a blunt object into the baby's anus and covered the mouth with his hands supposedly to stop the cries.
Police investigation into the death of a nine-month-old baby under the care of childminders in Kelana Jaya has revealed disturbing details
The toddler's death was reported on 27 April, following which a nanny and her husband were remanded in custody to assist in the investigation for murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
At the time, an autopsy showed that the toddler had bruises on the mouth and his anus.
It was suspected that the victim was sexually abused.
Since then, the police have confirmed that the nine-month-old boy was sodomised by the nanny's 36-year-old husband at their apartment at Jalan PJU 1A/42 Kelana Jaya.
The husband sodomised the toddler with a blunt object and suffocated him to death by cupping his mouth with his hand, according to Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid
The autopsy showed that there were tear marks on the anus of the victim, which is believed to have been caused by the insertion of a blunt object, and the area around his mouth was covered with bruises.
The husband sodomised the toddler after he was left alone with him for about two hours. He forced a blunt object into the baby's anus and covered the mouth with his hands supposedly to stop the cries.
"The cause of death was because the (victim's) mouth was cupped, leading to suffocation and (subsequently) causing death," Mohamad Fakhrudin said during a press conference yesterday, 11 May.
"The outcome of urine screening test on both suspects showed they were positive for syabu and the man had two previous criminal records relating to drug offences while his wife had no prior criminal record."
Police also recovered sex tools and other items from the couple's place
"Police searched the couple's home and found evidence linked to the baby's death, including some baby clothes and a sex toy that is believed to have been used in the crime," he said.
Among the other items, they seized two disposable diapers, a piece of white cloth, a pair of pants, a red and black patterned carpet, a pair of shorts, a short-sleeved shirt, and disinfectant liquid.
Both the husband and the wife are expected to be charged today
According to Mohamad Fakhrudin, the investigation paper on the case had been referred to the Selangor Director of Prosecution, whereby the male suspect would be charged under Section 302 for murder and Section 377C for committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature without the consent.
Meanwhile, the nanny — who has agreed to become a prosecution witness — will be charged according to Section 15 (1) (a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 (for self-administering dangerous drugs).
