Norain was shocked when their tour guide later demanded the receipt, claiming the restaurant management accused them of dining and dashing in a viral social media post

According to her, the guide was caught off guard by the sudden financial allegation from the Indonesian establishment.

Thankfully, the travellers were able to verify their payment by sending a digital screenshot of their payment and finding the physical receipt.

The restaurant quickly admitted to an internal miscommunication, and subsequently sent a formal text and a video apology to the group

"We hope this issue can be resolved amicably, the statement read.

While Norain has accepted the restauran't apology, she has vowed not to visit the chain again.

She also reminded her followers to always safeguard their payment receipts when travelling abroad.

"One thing we can learn when traveling abroad: pleeeease keep your receipts until you get back to Malaysia. This actually happened to us when we were in Jakarta."
