Johor Man Weds Paralysed Fiancée After Meeting Her On Popular Gaming App PUBG
PUBG helped her start a new life.
It was a joyous occasion for Amirul Syahmi Mohd Yazid as he wed his paralysed fiancée, Siti Aishah Zaid on 19 August
The couple exchanged wedding vows along with 17 other couples at a solemnisation event held by the Batu Pahat Kelab Kebajikan Pejabat Kadi in Batu Pahat, Johor.
25-year-old Amirul, and Aishah, 22, met on popular online video game, Player Unknown's Battleground, more commonly known as PUBG.
Speaking to Sinar Harian, Aishah said that she was grateful that her husband was willing to accept her despite her paralysis
Both of Aishah's legs were paralysed after she was involved in a motorbike accident in Parit Raja two years ago.
"At that time, I still hadn't gotten to know Amirul although we lived in the same district," she told Sinar Harian.
"Ever since then, we got closer day by day until our relationship bloomed into love."
Touched by the happy occasion, Aishah's doctor took to Facebook to congratulate the couple
He wrote that Aishah was a lively girl before her accident. However, when he met her in the ward, she looked miserable.
After some time, Dr Kamarul said that Aishah eventually became stronger. She also decided to resume her studies and move on with life.
As her doctor, he is happy that PUBG was able to help her start a new life.
