Kawan Food Wins Prestigious Silver Award At The Edge Malaysia ESG 2024 Awards

Popular local brand Kawan Food was recently awarded the prestigious Silver Award for Most Improved ESG Performance at The Edge Malaysia ESG 2024 Awards
Specifically, they were given the Silver Award for Most Improved ESG Performance over three years in market cap between RM300m and RM800m category. The award was received by Gan Ka Bien, Director of Marketing and ESG, during the awards ceremony held at Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur on 15 October.
In appreciation, she said, "This award is for all our consumers for whom we do this. For their support and trust, and in return I am very grateful to receive this recognition on behalf of everyone in Kawan and our business partners, who are committed to our vision of 'Food for a Better World'.
"In addition, we have been included in the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Index and FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Shariah Index in Dec 2023. Since embarking on our sustainability journey in 2021, the results of our actions are starting to show."
