Kedah Man Who Happened To Pass By Accident Scene Finds That Deceased Victim Is His Wife
Both the husband and wife are deaf and they have a seven-month-old child.
A woman in Kedah recently met a tragic accident when she was hit by a trailer after falling off a motorcycle
Kulim district Police Chief SUPT Azhar Hashim told Harian Metro that the victim, identified as 23-year-old Nur Almass Zasmi, was on her motorcycle from Serdang heading towards Sungai Ular when she suddenly lost control and fell to the ground.
A trailer coming from the opposite direction then hit her body, thus killing her at the scene.
She sustained injuries to her head and her body was taken to Kulim Hospital for an autopsy.
Video footage from a local news outlet shows the victim's husband hugging the body in the middle of the road while sobbing profusely
According to Astro Awani, the man, Ahmad Norrizman Ahmad Termizi, is believed to have been passing by the site by coincidence when he realised that the deceased victim was his wife.
He ran towards her body before hugging it and letting out a cry.
The victim previously worked as a factory operator in Kulim and it is reported that both the deceased and her husband are deaf. They also have a seven-month-old daughter together.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987
Section 41of the Act states that if a person causes someone's death by driving in a reckless manner or at a dangerous speed, they would have committed an offence.
This offence carries three punishments including imprisonment between two and 10 years, a fine between RM5,000 and RM20,000, as well as the suspension of driving licence for at least three years, or at least 10 years after the first offence.
