Kelantan Businesswoman Divorced By Husband During TikTok Live Stream
She said that her husband secretly married another woman in April this year in Thailand.
A 37-year-old businesswoman from Kota Bharu, Kelantan, was in for a rude shock when her husband divorced her while she was live-streaming for her online cosmetics business on TikTok last week
The woman, Nur Hazwani Mustapha, said that during the live-streaming session which she was doing from her home in Pasir Tumboh, her husband came and berated her, according to Berita Harian.
"We were arguing and there was provocation between us before my husband pronounced the divorce," she said, adding that her husband secretly married another woman in April this year in Thailand.
"Initially, I wanted to accept the second wife, but due to their taunts and provocations, I disagreed with my husband's second marriage. My husband also seemed to love the second wife more than me, which made me lose affection for him," the Malay news outlet quoted her as saying.
Earlier, a video of Nur Hazwani's husband divorcing her went viral on the video-sharing platform, drawing various reactions from the public
Nur Hazwani said that in their 10 years of marriage, they were blessed with two children, aged four and seven.
She said that because she wanted to be with her husband and take care of the family, she even willingly quit her job as an enforcement officer with the local authority.
"But after 10 years, this is what I get. I endured hardships with him in the early years of our marriage, only for this to be my reward after a decade together.
"Even though I was divorced while live-streaming with 3,000 people watching, I am resigned to it and want to continue living with my children," she said.
The online cosmetics trader expressed relief after the divorce and wants to focus on her online cosmetic business
The divorce has brought a blessing as her customers have increased, and she has become more known than before.
"Let people say what they want; I don't care because they haven't experienced what I have. I hope people will pray for the best for me and my children," she added.
