On Sunday at 1.20pm, police received a call about the incident where they were notified of the death of the four-year-old at the babysitter's house in Jalan Yadi, Klang.

Medical personnel dispatched to the house confirmed the baby girl's death.

On Monday, 30 September, a post-mortem was conducted which found that the girl died after sustaining injuries on her abdomen due to blunt force trauma.

"There were 41 new and old injury marks found on her body," ACP Shamsul Amar said in a statement today, 2 October, as reported by Malay Mail.

During the course of their investigation, police also uncovered that the babysitter and her husband had abused three other children

According to ACP Shamsul Amar, the officer investigating the couple conducted a physical examination on the three children brought by them.

"Physical examination on the two boys, aged eight and five, as well as the four-year-old girl, found injury marks, new and old, believed to have been inflicted by the two suspects," Malay Mail quoted the ACP as saying.

"The two boys are the woman's children from her first marriage and all three children are now being placed at the HTAR for further examination."

Police are investigating the cases for child abuse and murder.
