Lorry Driver On MRR2 Travels For 1KM Before Realising A Man Is Stuck Under The Vehicle

He did not realise that a man was stuck under the lorry until others honked at him to stop.

A motorcyclist was found dead after being dragged under a lorry for 1km in an accident on the Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) highway

According to Harian Metro, the incident took place on Monday, 23 November, near Taman Layang-Layang at Batu Caves.

The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Wong Chun Hung and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Kuala Lumpur Department of Investigation and Traffic Enforcement chief ACP Zulkifli Yahya told the Malay daily that the victim was on the left side of traffic when he rode through a puddle.

He explained, "The victim then slipped and fell on the middle of the road and was hit by a lorry. Due to that, the victim got stuck under the vehicle and died on the spot."

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987

The body was sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for an autopsy before it could be claimed by family members.
