M'sian Woman Arrested For Stealing Gold Bracelet Worth RM15,000 To Pay BF's Car Loan

The 22-year-old woman admitted to stealing the gold bracelet from a jewellery store in Port Dickson before escaping in a Perodua Alza.

Police arrested a woman in an apartment in Rawang, Selangor, on 16 December for stealing a gold bracelet supposedly to settle her boyfriend's car loan

According to Bernama, Port Dickson district police chief Aidi Sham Mohamed said the 22-year-old woman admitted to stealing the gold bracelet from a jewellery store in Port Dickson on 7 December before escaping in a Perodua Alza.

"Police received a report from the jewellery store's sales assistant around 1pm that a couple went there on the pretext of wanting to buy jewellery before taking a look at the gold bracelet at 11.38am," Aidil said in a statement yesterday, 20 December.

"The suspects then ran off with the bracelet, which is estimated to cost RM15,000, but police managed to recover it from a pawn shop here."

The woman was investigated under Section 380 of the Penal Code, where she gets sentenced to one day jail and fined RM7,000

Meanwhile, the police are now looking for the 20-year-old male suspect, Muhammad Haikal Izhar, from Bandar Sri Sendayan.
