Malaysia Sees Yet Another Spike In COVID-19 Cases With 147 Patients And 3 Deaths

Over the past 12 days, the number of new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia has hovered around double digits.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) recorded 147 new COVID-19 cases in the country today, 23 September

According to the MOH official Twitter account, this brings the number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to a total of 10,505.

Over the past 12 days, the number of new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia has hovered around double digits

The country last saw a three-digit spike on Friday, 11 September, with 182 new cases.

Out of the 143 recent cases, 134 are linked to the Benteng cluster in Sabah while the rest are from different states including Kelantan, Kedah, Selangor, and Kuala Lumpur.

Two of the recent deaths were recorded in Sabah while the other was recorded in Kedah

Besides that, MOH also just announced the presence of a new cluster in Sabah dubbed as the Udin cluster.
