M'sian Loses RM3.7 Million Ring At The Ritz Paris & Security Finds It In A Vacuum Cleaner
The world-famous luxury hotel said it wasn't a case of theft.

The Ritz Paris said it has found a 750,000 euro (RM3.7 million) diamond ring that went missing from a Malaysian guest's room two days prior
The world-famous luxury hotel said its security guards recovered the piece of jewellery in the bag of a vacuum cleaner on Sunday, 10 December, Le Parisien reported.
The guest, an unidentified Malaysian businesswoman, filed a police report on Friday, 8 December, saying she left the ring on a table in her hotel room before going out.
Upon her return to the room several hours later, she discovered that the ring was missing, leading her to suspect that a hotel staff had stolen it.
However, the Ritz Paris made it clear it was not a case of theft
In a statement to Le Parisien, the hotel expressed gratitude for "the meticulous work of the security guards" in locating the ring.
"Our client is happy with the news. We would like to thank the staff at the Ritz Paris who were mobilised for this search and who work each day with integrity and professionalism," the statement read.
It was reported that the hotel offered the guest a three-night stay as compensation for the incident, but she declined the offer.
The businesswoman, who has since travelled to London, is expected to return to Paris to collect her ring, which is currently in the possession of the police
According to Le Parisien, the case has been entrusted by the Paris prosecutor's office to the banditry suppression brigade, the French Ministry of Interior's special police unit.
The French media reported that it was up to the public prosecutor to close the case or pursue further investigation.
