A man, said to be in his 40s, is currently attempting to commit suicide by standing on the edge of the top floor of Suria KLCC

At about 4.53pm, the incident was reported to the Fire and Rescue team, following which about 15 Bomba were deployed to the scene at Suria KLCC.

The man is said to be standing on the edge of the top floor since 4pm.

China Press reported that the man was at the mall with his girlfriend, who broke up with him after they quarrelled. The man then went over the edge, threatening to kill himself.

A safety net has been put up by Bomba at the scene

Both Bomba and police at the scene are trying to talk to the man

However, attempts to discourage him and get off the edge has not been successful, as the man was still standing outside the railings of the top floor at the time of publication.
