His son noted that the man was still alive this morning.
A man was recently found dead in his car outside his home in Sungai Petani, Kedah
Harian Metro reported that the victim is a 52-year-old chef named Lim Tian Poh.
Around 4pm on 6 October, he was found unresponsive in the passenger seat of his Proton Wira which was parked in front of his house in Sungai Lalang, Bedong.
Kedah police have confirmed the incident in a Facebook post.
His son said that he was out drinking with a friend last night and decided to sleep in the car after being dropped off
Kuala Muda district deputy police chief Supt Shamsudin Mamat told Harian Metro, "The son informed the police that his father went out drinking with a friend last night at 10.30pm. Because he was drunk, the friend then dropped him off at home but Lim slept in a car outside the house."
"The son then said that he saw his father in the car about 7.30am when he was about to leave for work. He tried to wake him up and the father was still alive and told his son that he wanted to rest in the car first," he added.
The son then went straight to work and a neighbor noticed that Lim had died in the car
Shamsudin said, "The neighbour saw the man lying down and suspected that he had passed away. They called the hospital and the police straight away."
"According to his son, the man had previous health records but it's not sure what disease he actually has. Investigations found that there were no criminal elements on the body, as a matter of fact, his phone and wallet were still with him and there were no injuries found," he explained to Harian Metro.
The man was pronounced dead at the Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital (HSAH) and the case is classified as sudden death.
