Man In Penang Murders Abusive Uncle And Hides Body Inside A Factory Drain
The suspect claimed that he could not handle the behaviour of his uncle who often bullied him and hit him whenever he was not pleased.
A man working in Penang was arrested for murdering his uncle and then hiding the body in a drain at a factory
The arrested suspect is the victim's 21-year-old nephew who works at the same clothing factory.
Police learnt that he killed his uncle out of anger after enduring the man's abuse and bullying.
Central Seberang Perai district police chief ACP Shafee Abd Samad told Kosmo!, "The suspect claimed that he could not handle the behaviour of his uncle who often bullied him and hit him whenever he was not pleased. Prior to the incident, the two were believed to have fought until the suspect hit the victim."
He then added that the fight happened about three weeks ago as the victim was said to have gone missing since 15 January.
"The suspect hid him under a drain cover to avoid being seen by others and he continued to go to work as usual."
The man has been remanded for seven days under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder
"Police are still carrying out further investigation in order to complete the investigation papers before handing it over to the deputy public prosecutor," Shafee said to Bernama.
The authorities also seized a knife, a metal hammer, and a 0.8m metal rod with bloodstains. These items were found near the location the body was discovered.
