The deceased got married early last year and is the father of a 10-month-old daughter.
A photo of a man sitting next to a body at an accident scene has been making its rounds on social media
According to Sinar Harian, the man in the photograph is 54-year-old Roslan Ramlan from Melaka.
He can be seen sitting next to the body of his son-in-law, Muhammad Zulhilmi, who died in a collision around 6.30am on Monday, 2 November.
Roslan was coincidentally passing by the accident scene when he noticed that the victim was his daughter's husband.
He then sat down next to the body and read Quranic verses while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.
The man explained to Utusan Malaysia that he is colleagues with his son-in-law and the two worked at the same factory. Before the accident, Muhammad Zulhilmi left their home earlier than Roslan. About 10 minutes after he left, Roslan made his way to work on a separate motorcycle.
While passing by the accident scene, Roslan stopped his motorcycle but did not suspect anything. To his surprise, he saw that the body on the road was his son-in-law.
"Although he had already passed away at the time, I still whispered the Shahada to him. While waiting for his body to be taken to the hospital, I sat next to him and recited Quranic verses," he said.
The deceased worked as a factory operator and had only been married for a little over a year.
His wife, Norhasliza Roslan is 24 years old and the couple has a 10-month-old daughter.
Muhammad Zulhilmi passed away at the scene after his Yamaha LC135 motorcycle crashed into a Perodua Myvi driven by a 38-year-old woman.
The accident took place at Jalan Bukit Katil, Melaka, and the victim died after sustaining injuries to his head.
Roslan told Astro Awani, "His family lived with me and my wife, we definitely applaud his attitude as he never raised his voice at my daughter, and also helped her cook in the kitchen as well as with other chores."
"I consider Zulhilmi as my own blood and his loss will definitely make us miss him."
