Man Chased & Slashed To Death By Masked Men In Front Of Jasin Hospital

A 24-year-old man was brutally murdered by a group of masked men armed with machetes outside Jasin Hospital in Melaka on Sunday night, 25 August
According to The Star, Jasin deputy police chief Supt Ahmad Jamil Radzi said the victim was first attacked by the group of men outside a barber shop in Taman Rim Baru at about 8.40pm.
"The injured victim managed to contact his 22-year-old brother to drive him to Jasin Hospital to seek medical attention.
"However, upon arriving at the emergency department of the hospital, the assailants returned and started to attack him mercilessly, even smashing the windscreen of the car," he said in a statement on Monday, 26 August.
Ahmad Jamil said the victim's brother fled the scene, seeking safety at the Jasin police headquarters, where he lodged a police report
Meanwhile, the victim continued to be attacked and succumbed to his injuries at about 10.15pm.
The incident, which occurred at the entrance of Jasin Hospital, was witnessed by hospital staff and patients.

Three suspects, aged 21 to 31, have since been arrested, while the police are still on the hunt for two remaining suspects still at large
Ahmad Jamil said the police have also opened four investigation papers concerning the case, which could be related to a feud between gang members.
The Star reported that the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, Section 148 of the Penal Code for rioting, and Section 427 for committing mischief.
Another investigation paper under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation was also opened based on an earlier incident at the victim's house at Taman Sin Ban Bee in Jasin.
