Southeast Asia's first drawbridge - located in Terengganu - opened to a public trial run yesterday, 2 June

The state's latest icon links Kuala Terengganu to Kuala Nerus, reported Malay Mail.
Spanning a length of 638m, the drawbridge stands tall with its 16-storey towers
It cost RM248 million to be built.

The drawbridge is open to motorists for a trial run until 17 June

"At the moment, no pedestrians are allowed on the bridge as this is a temporary opening," East Coast Economic Region Development Council senior manager (ECERDC) Razlee Hassan told New Straits Times.
"Only vehicles are allowed during the trial, because we do not want traffic problems."
