A video of a man in military uniform allegedly harassing a vape store employee recently went viral on social media

According to Harian Metro, the incident is believed to have taken place on 5 October at a vape store in Taman Keramat, Ampang.

The one-minute and 26-second clip was obtained from the store's closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras and it has been circulating on platforms such as Facebook and WhatsApp.

In the video, the man can be seen pulling the employee's hand close to him before suddenly licking it

Ampang Jaya district police chief ACP Mohamad Farouk Eshak told Harian Metro that around 1pm, the man came to the store to purchase some items.

After completing his transaction, he left the store but suddenly came back to complain about the vape pod he bought and how it was not functioning.

The 18-year-old employee then replaced the device and while handing over the new vape pod to the suspect, he took her hand and started licking it.

The victim was visibly uncomfortable and tried to stop the man.

"After the victim said that there were CCTV cameras, the suspect immediately let go of her hand and left the scene," Mohamad Farouk explained.
