A family in Petaling Jaya is seeking public assistance in locating their missing loved one, 34-year-old Yong Jia Yein, who has been missing since last Wednesday, 29 January

Her family filed a missing persons report with the police on Friday, 31 January, and later shared an appeal on Facebook, urging the public to assist in the search.

According to the Petaling Jaya district police, Yong was last seen leaving her home at Pelangi Utama Condominium in a blue Proton Iswara with the licence plate BDV 1304.

She was wearing a red T-shirt and long black pants at the time.

Her sister told SAYS that Yong left home at 10am to visit friends on the first day of Chinese New Year, and even responded to a text message the next day, but has been completely out of touch since then, causing great concern to the family.

Yong has short hair, stands about 158cm tall, and weighs approximately 59kg

Her family has requested the public's help in spreading the word by printing out the police statement or the following posters, which include an image of her and her car, and distributing them to local guardhouses.

Anyone with information on Yong's whereabouts is urged to contact their nearest police station or reach out to investigating officer Hafizzul Noor at +603-77222222.
