Policeman On His Way To Istana Negara Killed After Being Run Over By Unidentified Vehicle

A policeman died today, 15 December, when the motorcycle he was riding skidded on the ELITE highway before he was run over by another vehicle
The incident occurred at Kilometre 37.7 heading north at around 6am, as reported by Berita Harian.
The victim was identified as 31-year-old Lance Corporal Amirul Faiz Mohammad Ali. He was travelling from his home in Melaka to Jalan Duta in the capital as he was on duty at the Istana Negara.
According to Sepang district police chief ACP Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof, the victim was riding an SYM motorcycle in the right lane when he lost control and crashed into the road divider.
"The victim then fell down and was believed to have been run over by another vehicle; and he was confirmed dead at the scene," he said in a statement today.
Amirul Faiz died due to severe injuries to his limbs.
The victim's body was sent to Putrajaya Hospital for a post-mortem, and the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
