#Budget2025: Van Services Will Be Available To Students In Klang Valley

The My50 Monthly Travel Pass will remain available to 180,000 users.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced that van services will be provided for children to travel to school from selected train stations

During the tabling of Budget 2025 today, 18 October, Anwar said Prasarana Malaysia Berhad will pick up students from two stations: Sri Rampai and Melati LRT Stations, for a fare of 50 sen one way.

The government also proposed free fares for all university, polytechnic, community college, and matriculation students anationwide who use the BAS.MY service.

Meanwhile, Anwar said that the My50 Unlimited Travel Pass will remain available to those using the Prasarana bus and rail services

The government will allocate RM10 million to add dedicated bus lanes along Jalan Ipoh, Jalan Cheras, and Jalan Gombak.

Moreover, the government will collaborate with government-linked companies (GLCs) and private entities to improve 100 bus stops in the Klang Valley for passengers' safety and comfort.

Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, shared that the My50 Unlimited Travel Pass will still be available to those using Prasarana bus and rail services. 

Over RM270 million will be also invested in shuttle bus services, ensuring their availability and affordability in major cities throughout Malaysia.
