Do You Have To Register With MySejahtera When Pumping Fuel? Here's What You Need To Know

In his press conference today, 10 November, Defence Minister Ismail Sabri clarified the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for petrol stations

In his live address, Ismail defines a premise as the entire area of a petrol station.

Here's when you are REQUIRED to register using the MySejahtera app or a logbook:

- Entering the store to pay for fuel.

- Entering the store to buy items or withdrawing money from the automated teller machine (ATM).

- Sending your vehicle for servicing at the station.

- Using a manual car washing service.

- Using the toilet or surau.

Here's when you are NOT REQUIRED to register using the app:

- Paying for fuel using cashless methods such as credit/debit cards and apps.

- Paying for fuel outside of the store through a glass window.

- Pumping air in your vehicle tyres alone.

- Washing your car at an automatic car wash with payment using a machine.
