Roadblocks at the toll plazas in Sungai Buloh, Kota Damansara, Damansara, and Subang will remain in place

Petaling Jaya district police chief ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said that only two roadblocks are being lifted, namely the ones on the Federal Highway and Taman Kanagapuram under the New Pantai Expressway (NPE).

The two roadblocks in the Petaling district were lifted last night along with the roadblocks in Putrajaya following the announcement by Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob that the Klang Valley area will move into Phase 2 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) from today, 10 September.

Ismail had said that interdistrict travel between Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Putrajaya will be allowed.

The district police have advised the public to not become complacent and continue to practise standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Fakhrudin said that ignoring the SOPs will not help in controlling the pandemic and that people must not become too complacent with some of the relaxations in order to contain COVID-19.
