A photo of a Malaysian senior citizen selling food at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) recently went viral

The image was shared by Twitter user @izx2471, who said that they spotted the woman carrying luggage and a tote bag while looking for customers.

They added that they were initially taken aback when the senior citizen approached them and asked if they wanted to buy food.

"While at the airport just now, there was a mak cik who came and asked if I wanted to buy nasi rendang ayam, nasi minyak, or ayam masak merah.

"At first, I was scared. Then, after she walked away, I saw the green bag she was carrying, which was filled with lots of containers. So, I called her back to buy what she was selling," they wrote.

The food is being sold by the 60-year-old senior citizen to help pay for her cancer treatment

The user went on to say that they purchased two packages of white rice with ayam masak merah and proceeded to ask the woman if she cooked the food herself.

The elderly lady responded that she did cook the food herself in order to pay for her cancer treatment.

"If you are at KLIA2 and you see this mak cik, please buy the food she sells, okay? If you can't help a lot, at least a little is fine. Hopefully, this makcik's affairs will be made easier," they wrote.

Malaysians were moved by the senior citizen's efforts and vowed to buy her food if she came up to them
